| ABOUT KRIS |
| My first years were spent in Sweden, an enchanted land where there most certainly are mystical beings frolicking in the woods. But before I could confirm my fairytale theories my family moved to Dallas, Texas. I thought for sure that I would ride a horse named Ed to school, past cacti and tumbleweed, while waving to my neighbor, JR, who lived a drama-filled life on South Fork Ranch. It didn’t happen that way. Instead I started my art career early thanks to my mom who let me draw on the walls of my room. The undisputed masterpiece of my childhood was created using a permanent surgical marker unearthed from my father’s desk. With that timeless ink I created living art upon my sister’s perfect baby face that lasted for three glorious months. My grandmother who was watching us at the time wept upon laying eyes on this inaugural work. Since then I have had the honor of working with many wonderful organizations. After an 8-year starter career in marketing and branding I picked up the camera full-time. I spend my days meeting interesting people and telling their stories through photographs. I have the best job in the world. It is a grand adventure.
